The best campsite near Dartmoor - and hardly anyone there! We arrived on the last day of March with our spaniel Flint.
We had fab views of the moor because we chose to pitch on a rising field facing the moor, with Lydford village below us.
One of the best things about the village is the pub - the Castle - which is extraordinarily friendly with tempting and filling suppers on offer. Easy to roll home to the campsite when you've had a few pints of Tribute beer.
